Sport: Wrestling

Skill / Age Level: Other

About:
Islip Wrestling invites the special needs students in the community to a Challenger Wrestling Clinic for 4 weeks each year for the past three years. With support from Islip SEPTA, Booster Club and the Youth Program Coaches, Varsity, JV and Kid wrestlers volunteer and teach wrestling. Through this program Islip Wrestling and its athletes bring the sport they love to children with Autism, ADHD and Down Syndrome. Even though the Varsity, JV and youth wrestlers are the coaches the real teachers are the kids who participate!
